Immigration or Obtaining Fpgec Certification for Pharmacists

To immigrate to the United States as a pharmacist and obtain a H-1B employment visa, one should

  • Download an application for the FPGEE (Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalent Examination) from
  • Pass in TOEFL (score of at least 550 in paper-based or 213 on computer based) and TSE (score between 45 and 50 or higher). These should be passed within two years (either before or after) of passing FPGEE. The ETS services should be requested to intimate an authentic score report of your score directly to the FPGEC.

Passing the above three exams will grant you FPGEE certification that can be used for sitting in state board exams (NAPLEX).

FPGEE certification is not a license to practice; rather it is a means of allowing foreign graduates to partially fulfill eligibility requirements for state licensing.

Completed applications with all necessary documents should be sent to
NABP, FPGEC Examination Committee, 700 Busses Highway, Park Ridge, Illinois 60068-2402,USA

It is important to ensure that there are absolutely no errors in the application form, as otherwise, they will significantly slow down the FPGEC process. Once all the requirements are met, the applicant will receive a letter of acceptance to sit for the FPGEE.

Graduates from an accredited college of pharmacy, participate in residency or internship programs to acquire direct patient care experience and pass the NABPLEX (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy Licensing Exam).
